What is CTET?
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national test, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) once a year for determining the eligibility criteria for applicants. Candidates are appointed as teachers of classes 1-8.
The candidates have the choice to pick either the Paper 1 or Paper 2 as per their preferences. Candidates who are willing to join as teacher for classes 1-5, are able to take the Paper 1exam and those who wish to instruct the class 6-8 students, need to appear for the Paper 2 exam.

CBSE CTET Eligibility 2021 Criteria

CBSE CTET Age Limit
For those who wish to take the exam there isn't an minimum age for candidates of any age group. But, candidates must be of the age of 17 or over to be eligible to take the CTET 2021 examination.
CBSE CTET Education Criteria
The basic requirement for CTET Exam must be to have passed either senior high or graduate school with a minimum 50% marks in aggregate and a relevant teacher training program. Here are the detailed academic requirements:
CTET Admissions 2021 for paper 1:To apply for CTET Paper 1 test, candidates must have completed senior secondary or equivalent , with at least 50% marks, as and must also be in or in the final year of the 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education or the 4-year degree Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
CET Exam Eligibility 2021 Paper 2: To appear for CTET Paper 2 exam, candidates must have an undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline , with at least 50% marks and should have completed or appeared in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
NOTE: A degree or diploma in teacher education must be recognized by NCTE.

CBSE CTET Education Criteria
The most basic requirement for the CTET Exam is to have graduated from senior secondary or high school with at least 50% marks aggregated and a relevant teacher training program. Below are the complete education requirements:
CTET eligibility 2021 paper 1:To apply for CTET Paper 1 examination, the candidate must have passed senior secondary school or equivalently with at least 50% marks, as well as must be completed or be in the final second year of a 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education or four-year Master of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
CTET eligibility 2021 for Paper 2. To take the CTET Paper 2 exam, the candidate must have an undergraduate degree in the subject area with at minimum 50% marks and must have completed or appeared in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
